I think we're trying, but it's hard to say for sure if we'll see that balance in our lifetimes.

@mrki444 While that would seem like the simple thing, rarely is it so. That costs money. To get that money, utility companies would need to raise prices. It's not like they aren't trying, but there's also this 'if it's not broken, don't fix it'. I do know there are researchers already looking into how to effectivly

Yes all sides of a solution need to be weighed. We can also look to other kinds of oil to generate power like peanut oil, used cooking oil, algae oil , and olive seeds etc.

Some people think sugar cane is good source of biodiesel but in two years many farmers give up from growing wheat and choose sugar cane. That cause less flour on market so price of bread and other flour products jump.
