I found out a couple of days ago that my blog in Wordpress is still up and running. I started it in 2019, and abandoned the whole of 2020. Then I received a spam mail about it. At first I am so confused, I thought my email account was compromised. When I checked the linked and tried to log in, it took me to my old blog posts of product reviews. Even with no promotion, looks like I managed to secure 14 followers for my blog. And since I am always partial to reading and writing, I decided to resume my blogging. Who knows, maybe I can monetize it if I am able to increase traffic and engagement in my blog. I used to maintain a blog about my life, it's all a day in the life kind of deal which I started in 2011. I noticed that the highest engagement I got pertains to my immigration journey. It is nice to know that people are curious about the hardships and challenges of legally moving and getting acclimated to a new country. Since this is still a topic that a lot of people look for, I might include this in my blog as well. I have two upcoming new posts, and hopefully I will be able to increase my follower count. I just need to edit the pictures to make them look professional and neat, and I need to choose how to watermark it. Maintaining a blog requires some work too, and I like how at the end of the day, I can look back see my progress in terms of writing, editing, and ohotography.
