Literally Chilled to the Bone

I wasn’t here much yesterday. I got caught up in US politics throughout the day and night, but that wasn’t exactly all that kept me away from MyLot.
I received an order of fresh food from my online shopping site, Instacart. Of course I sanitized every thing that arrived.
Our son asked if he could stop over for a visit. Of course I told him to come.
We spent 4 hours talking in our garage with masks on, the heater going, and still freezing. He had a lot to tell us about his vacation in Vermont, his New Year’s Eve, his trip to New York to sell that penthouse he bought, and about his business. I was shivering the entire time.
Once he left, I couldn’t stop shivering. Hubs wrapped me in blankets, turned the heat up, put two portable heaters on me, and rubbed my hands and toes. Nothing worked!
I decided to take a long, hot shower and had the heater on in the bathroom. I put on long-sleeved pjs and a heavy long robe, which did the trick, finally!!!
While watching the US news again, I got too hot.

It was chilly yesterday. I cut my walk short because I was pretty cold. I was glad to have my mask on for a change yesterday. It kept my face warm.

I walked during the morning and was fine. Of course, the mask helps. When my son stopped by, I wore a tee under a heavy sweater, warm pants, thick socks, my Uggs, a hat, mink coat (yes, I wear them around the yard now), and mittens. They always face the heater towards me, but once I started shivering, nothing helped. It was scary!

I have stopped watching news as news depress me a lot. And as for the weather it is normal nothing much to write home about Good you finally got rid of that shivering.

@DianneN I was just like you but the day they announced a winner who did not deserve it and was the result of tampering. I got so depressed that I vouched never more to watch news.

It was an awful sight yesterday. And I sadly dont think it is done.
Glad you did finally get warmed up. I prefer a long hot bath when I feel cold like that.

@DianneN Once they pushed them back the evening stayed quiet. And I am sure hubby would have let you know.

@RasmaSandra I heard it was damp and chilly there. Take good care of yourself. Sciatica is awful. Hubs had it and it acted up while we were all walking around NYC. Just awful pain.

Lol, at least you were able to finally warm up. Do you always do your visiting with him in the garage?

We do now that it's winter. When it was warm, we used to self distance on our deck, elsewhere in our yard, or go for walks. Hubs sets up chairs, a little table, and a heater or two. It beats being in the elements. 4 hours of sitting in the cold proved too much for me, but my husband and son don't ming the cold.

@DianneN Be careful not to catch a cold, now is definitely not the time for that! I like how you play with words, how quickly you turn the meaning around

It's hard to get warm after a chill like that. I'm sure you would have frozen your toes off for your son

You really got chilled. I was expecting to open this and see that recent events had you chilled to the bone
Our garage is very warm. It is our Kitty's bedroom. (He has a door so he can go outside when he wants)
At night we turn our furnace in the house way down. If I go out to the garage, it is warmer than the house.

The events and its aftermath have me chilled to the bone even as we speak.
We should meet inside your garage from now on.
We leave the garage door open when our son comes over to visit due to the virus. Sitting for so long wasn’t a good idea.

@LindaOHio You’re right.
Thank you. That’s the best I could do with the woods in the way.
