We need to change the criteria for running for Public Office all over the world / myLot

In order for the fiasco of Donald Trump not to happen again, we need to change the criteria for running for public office in all countries. 1. It doesn't matter the age, but the person has to be in good physical and mental health as certified by non-partisan professionals. Medical doctors and Psychologists or Psycharits. 2. Present evidence that the person knows the laws of the country, by having taken classes in Law, and in countries that have constitutions getting a grade of 80%-100% in the class and post this certificate with the application to run for office. 3. Submit proof of income and that all the income is generated legally in accordance with the laws of the country. This could be a tax return or other legal document that show exactly where the income comes from. This also has to be attached to the application to run for office. Can you think of anymore?

4.After term expires must go back home. Can not stay in the capitol. As for number 2 that one alone would likely destroy most all public officials the world over.

But if a person wants to be a public office they have to know the laws of the country.

@lifecoachjerusalem I didn't say otherwise. Only saying that if a test were given today to public office holders most all of them would be out of a job tomorrow. Just and observation.

@Namelesss Well maybe there could be a course given and give these people a chance to pass the test and they could stay in the job. If not new elections!

Absolutely yes. First, get money out of it. Also, you should actually WANT to do the job. Those two probably go hand in hand too. It's just so frustrating how selfish some people are.

There should be equal money to be given to every candidate no company donors, and if private citizens want to donate not more than $100 total per year.
