So it’s a new year already and I realized I don’t have anything new. I mean I bought new stuff for my husband, kids and nephews, my mom and my siblings but I don’t have something new for myself, like a shirt or books. Well, maybe the new sponge on the sink counts?
How about you? Did you buy anything new for yourself?

The newest thing I have purchased is a surge protector but I am still waiting for the seller to send it. I may have to get a refund.

@sol_cee I am afraid the seller is trying to scam me. They sent a tracking link four days ago but they have not yet taken the item to the fed ex location so it can be shipped.

i hadn't come out this year,i decide to buy some food,drinks and groceries soon after.Because Chinese Spring Festival will come soon,i wish i could have a fresh life in this year.

@sol_cee It's my bad,sorry,i mean i hadn't gone to the town this year,because those food,drinks and groceries all need to buy in the town.It's very far from my house.So i only come to the town Once a month.This month,it's too cold,so i stay at home and i want to to the town after a few days

I have bought things for myself. I have a savings jar that my husband gave my at Christmas 2019. He gave me instructions with it! I am to save a little each week (I must put this week's savings in soon) then open it up at the end of the year. I am then to spend it all on myself. The first year, I spent it on a 'Bear Grylls Adventure'. This time, we can't really go anywhere so I have spent my 'me' money on some craft items. I've got a glass painting kit, and I'm awaiting delivery of a candle making kit. Still got some savings left but I might wait and see if I can use them for a day trip when we're allowed out again!

Got 3 pairs of shoes from my sister...
But the problem is, I don't go out often so I haven't worn them yet..
And I bought 2 bags for myself from my earnings somewhere lol... remembrance. Hmmmm
Haaay sale sale sale.. I really don't need them but the big discount was so tempting lol...

@sol_cee We usually do New Year's at my parents for all that Japanese food, but not this year. My sister offered to buy and deliver, but if we couldn't all get together, my parents weren't into just getting and cooking New Year's food just for themselves. So I took it upon myself to cook Japanese New Year's stuff for them . . . but it was a couple days later. They were "new" recipes for me to try . . . getting some of the ingredients locally was hard and expensive. But I did it

I didn't buy anything new for the new year but I bought plenty before Christmas. New slippers and new boots along with new pj's more recently.
