We got the first round of our Moderna vaccinations today. They are supposed to 50% effective. 95% effective after the second dose which we are scheduled to get in February. It was a hassle to get our shots. Two trips to the location and a long wait, but we're so happy we were able to get that protection. No adverse side effects for either of us.
It's good to know we're a little safer and also to know that we are less likely to be spreading anything to others.
Stay safe. Wear a mask and stay home unless really necessary. Let's do this.

It's really quite awful here now. Gets worse all the time. But we have a new administration coming in less than two weeks. The Democrats will have control of the Senate, and we are getting the vaccinations. 2021 is going to be a better year.

Awesome! I'm so happy for you. If you don't mind my asking - what state are you in? Yes... so many of my friends are tired of all this and are going around life as usual. We only have a bit longer until the vaccines helps us out....

@FayeHazel There is a plan here in Tennessee--of sorts. The problem is the administration is sorely lacking. Each county in our state administers the plan differently. We have a Republican administration state wide and representing us in Washington. They seem to be more concerned with supporting an insurrection at the moment.

@pjmurphy Ah I've never been, but I would like to.
That's interesting. Here (MN) we're doing it like this -
1A (where we are now) - Frontline workers and nursing home residents
1B Other essential workers and assisted living residents
2 Adults over 75 and those with health conditions and essential workers
3 Everyone who wants one
at least as far as I remember...

Vaccines seems still far to achieve here... Are you paying for it?

That's good. Hopefully, things will be under control soon with the wide use of vaccine.
