Health & Fitness Goals for January

How's it going? It's been a busy couple of weeks and I haven't popped on lately but I need to.
Health / fitness goals for January have been going well:
+Running 1 mile per day on a treadmill (jogging at a 14 minute mile)
+Counting & Restricting calories - It had to be done, I've gained a bunch of weight from not smoking and not caring enough to do anything about it. I am starting out slow, around 1,700 calories per day and really focusing on cutting out mindless eating and junk...I've lost about 3 pounds, which is OK. Later on I'll probably play around with it and restrict more, or do "zig zag" calorie restriction to keep my metabolism on it's toes. I would eventually like to try a vegetarian keto diet too, just to see what all the rave is about.
+Still not smoking cigs (it will be ONE year on 1/29/21! INSANE)
+NO BEER! But low calorie seltzer & Captain Diets are OK. I am enjoying light alcohol selzters.
Lots is happening in my world this week though - work schedule is about to change dramatically - I am two tests away from being certified and "graduated" from the firefighting academy but have 3-4 classes and tests between now and then. I will be getting together with a friend on the weekend, I hope to do a few Shipt orders for some cash (I have NOT been doing any, and could of course use the extra cash!), and I hope to take a "ME" day on Sunday and get a hotel somewhere, take a day trip by myself - maybe go to a state park and use a comped casino hotel as it's just been a helluva couple of months and I just need to get away for about 24 hours.
How is everyone's week going? How are your goals going - health - financial - fitness - etc? Hope all is well! And the pic, if it loads, is from earlier today when I took a quick, brisk and snowy walk around a park on the Mississippi river.

It's good to know that you are keeping up with your fitness goalsI am doing good on all fronts.. Health, finance, fitness, family etc. I started my healthy journey some 14 years back and sticking to the same. It's a habit now.

@maezee Sometimes even I indulge and go for yo yo with eating . But then I have to be back to track soon before it goes too uncontrolled.

Nice routine..I also exercise daily, but it is not fixed..But am trying to focus more and more about my health and as a routine..

Not so busy.still pursuing my goals.i do excersie to maintain my figured like the brisk and snowy park looking at the picture makes me relax

Good to know. Fitness is very important for everyone. I too exercise regularly and do little bit of dieting
