Government of India has placed a purchase order for 11 million doses of Covishield vaccine with Serum Institute of India manufacturing the vaccine jointly developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca. The process of transportation of vaccine through refrigerated vans has already begun. Government has decided to to give the dose to its 19 thousand health workers first. The detail list of mass immunisation program is already ready with government.
Another good news for the country on coronavirus front is that it has daily infection count of 12482, lowest since June 13. The daily death count is also low at 166 lowest since end May. This is particularly heartening because rest of the world is suffering heavily due to second wave of the infection.
Hope things start improving further as daily count of 12 thousand plus is still very high.

We already got our second batches of vaccine from China, and vaccination will start soon (not sure how soon). Our president will get injection today, and it will be live on TV since a lot of people have doubt about vaccine from China. I just hope the government won't lie to us and it's really the same vaccine, not another vaccine or another injection.
