Tonight, the New Year is celebrated here according to the Julian calendar.
We also call it here the 'Serbian New Year'
I am somehow used to the fact that my New Year's Eve is always on December 31, although, considering that I live here and that I am a Serb, for many years I also celebrate this Orthodox.
I wish you all a nice evening and I just envy you for not having to listen to these firecrackers ..

@Giannna I think the most shot tonight. How do puppies handle shooting? They must be terrified

i truly wish fireworks banned globally. there'd be those laser light shows that'd be much kinder to the environment. i'm a tad late, but happy orthodox new years!

@JudyEv Well, of course, because last year most of them lost a loved one or at least heard of someone ..

I get my fair share on the 4th of July and on New Years day here. Our neighbours love to set them off anytime they can find an excuse. Bright side, our windows make the sound a bit more barable. I personally don't mind, but if my husband has to work the next day.... that can be bad.
