I am ashamed of the photo I’ve put up here but I won’t have a chance to take another. Our friends are moving from this house to a lifestyle village and we’ve stayed with them in the old house for the last time.
In their games room, they have a collection of beer cans. What you see is only a portion of the total number. I think the eldest son will take them to his house as he is the one who began the collection.
They have lived in the house for 40+ years so there will be a lot to sort through and dispose of. However, they are looking forward to moving.

That is awesome. We used to collect Monster cans but stopped when we moved.

@allen0187 There were four young/older men in the household but it's still a lot of cans to drink.

Oh wow that is a lot. I bet some of them are worth some money by now. I am sure the son will enjoy having them.

It's mostly been the son that has collected them. He is going to put in his bar area and store the rest.

I recall they used to be a decor theme in the 1970s

It can take varying forms but usually the residents are all over a certain age. There are certain facilities provided for communal use such as a swimming pool, library, function/meeting rooms, gym, craft room, maybe a cafe. Some provide meals and limited nursing care. They're all a bit different. They might consist of stand-alone houses or semi-detached flats/apartments/units. Some are 'gated' so they are surrounded by a fence with security devices.

That’s quite a wide collection. The classmate of my daughter collects Starbucks mugs from different countries and has even requested my daughter to send him one from NZ. I think he has a built-in wall cabinet for his collection.

I'm happy it will be a happy move. What a collection lol. There's a good bar and restaurant near my mom's place that displays old beverage bottles

That is a huge collection of cans. Will they have room for these at the new house?

No, their son will display some in his bar area and perhaps store the rest.
