When i was enjoying my time in bedroom, my neighbor gave us one cassava. And my daughter decided to fried it. I just knew this when i came out from my bedroom. I saw her in the kitchen. She was in front of the stove stirred something in frying pan. I asked her and she told me our neighbor gave a big cassava, as big as my calf. She cut it and fried it. I told her peeling the cassava is so much easier than peeling swèet potato. It doesnt need knife at all. She just looked at me, and i took a look the cassava. All the cassava still had the white skin. She only peeled the brown skin and left the skin under the brown skin. My husband just laughed while my daughter peeled the white skin and fried the cassava again. Do you know how to peel cassava? Picture is mine

I see. I don't think people sell it in supermarket, because it needs to be cooket soon after you pull it from the soil, not more than 3 days

I know how to peel a cassava but it's the first time I knew that it can be fried. We usually steamed it or grate it when baking cassava cake.

You can fry it. But there are some variant of cassava. Some of them are really hard, and you need to boil it first (add salt, garlic and turmeric to add flavor) before you fry it. Or else it will be as hard as wood.

No because I don't even know what that is. That is one thing we don't carry in our store. Is it a fruit or vegetable or something else?

I used to live in the province and there are lots of cassava there. I know how to peel and cook it. Elder people said that it might be poisonous if not cooked well.
