Mrs. Potato Restaurant manager and waitress Flavaine Carvalho is one clever person who is being credited for saving the life of a young boy who showed signs of being abused by his step father when the family came for a meal on New Year's Day.
Flavaine suspected that something was not right when the stepfather of the young boy did not place an order for food for him to eat. It sounded like the child was being mistreated by his relatives since no caring parent would deny their child a meal.
When the young boy nodded his head after he read the note on a card that read "Do you need help? OK." Flavaine contacted the Orlando Police to report a case of child abuse.
The police came to the restaurant to arrest the stepfather Timothy Wilson II at the restaurant on child abuse charges.
The young boy's mother Kristen Swann was arrested on January 6 after an investigation showed that Kristen for her failure to report the child abuse of her son.
The young boy is either living with another relative or in a foster home at this time since the report did not mention where he went after his parents where arrested by the local police.
The police are thanking Flavaine for her work of reporting a criminal act and saving a young child from a life of being abused by his relatives.
I normally do not like to share child abuse stories since they are heartbreaking for me to share on this site.
However the actions of Falvaina show that she is concerned about the welfare of children in her community.

How wonderful that she had sense to step in. Sometimes it's hard to know when to help or not.
