The honeymoon is over. Kitty and I had a fight last night.

Kitty decided to sleep in when I went to bed last night, rather than go hunting, as she often does. But then, she woke me up by clawing at my couch, which she's not allowed to do. Then she jumped up on my couch, which is her way of saying "I'm full of myself right now." I kicked her out. I needed my beauty rest. We made up this morning.

I had a cat once that woke me up in the middle of the night by pouncing on my head. Her food dish was empty and she surely would starve by morning.

@rakski I did some fixed eye contact with him just now and he left. She watched him leave, somewhat longingly, but then came inside for her 27th nap of the day.

Me too. But now her boyfriend is out there and they're deciding whether to argue, share food, or go hunting. Where's his pet human when I need him?

You've grown attached to her. Next you'll buy her a cat tree, a place where she can scratch to her hearts content.

Hmmm....I think you’re fibbing. It’s usually the man who ends up on the couch in an argument, not the woman. And CERTAINLY not the cat!

But I can't escape the lingering suspicion that she is training me. Next, she's going to have food inside. Not! But she did get me to have water for her inside...

Cats are evil. That is why I am NOT a cat person. Be right back. I have to change Kitty's inside water and make sure she's napping comfortably. OK. Done. As I was saying...

@TheHorse The cat owner now prefers to put it in a cage, not like it used to be left free.
