Summer in Australia and how to keep cool

We had our god-daughter’s children stay with us last week. It was only overnight. They are on their long school break at the moment.
We are in the middle of our summer and the temperatures are from the high 20Cs to low 40C. When the reticulation came on in the paddocks, the youngest one was quick to don her bathers and run around in the water.
The sprinklers were only on for 15 minutes and by the time the older two thought about it, they’d gone off again. Luckily, they were too bothered.
Doesn’t she look like she’s having fun?

She enjoyed jumping over the spray and running around. She was soaking wet by the time the sprinklers stopped.

I can believe it. I was really surprised how hot it got when we were there. I had no idea there would be such high temperatures.

That looks fun indeed. Here most people go to the beach and since COVID is here during summer, people were contented with inflatable pools.

Someone else in another post didn't understand retic so I always spell it out now. It is a very common word here but maybe there's not much call for automatic watering over there.

@Deepizzaguy That's very true but some people are hard to make smile for a photo.

@JudyEv I like seeing a child and adult smiling since it means they are happy.

She is definitely enjoying it. And it's a good way to have fun and beat the heat. You must have had a good time with these children.
