In the many years that I have followed sports on television, I have read on the sports pages of stories of basketball players receiving a scholarship before they attend the school of their choice like in a press conference.
However Oklahoma State University basketball player Dee Mitchell who made the basketball team in 2019 as a walk on was surprised when his basketball coach Mike Boynton went to see his star basketball player working at Wal Mart to present him his gift in front of the cameras who filmed the coach giving his scholarship as a way of thanking him for his dedication of working at least 40 hours a week at his job and playing basketball for the Cowboys.
Dee thought that he was starring in a movie when his coach gave him his scholarship at Wal Mart.
When Dee found out that he was not starring a television show or motion picture, he was very happy that his lifestyle of working to make ends meet and playing college basketball paid off at last.

Dee earned it since he showed his coach that he is a hard working young man.

Dee will be a very happy person that his coach gave him a scholarship to assist him to finish his studies at Oklahoma State University.
