The photo shows our new firefighting unit that we purchased today. It is second-hand. Each tank holds 1,000 litres of water. It is equipped with a pump and two hoses. If we have a fire, we have a portion of land that is well away from any trees and we plan to shelter there with the car and this trailer. It’s highly unlikely we’ll ever need to do this but it’s best to be prepared.
We had a wonderful chat with the seller. He is a musician as is his son so we were able to swap lots of stories and some information about running house concerts. Most people have really interesting stories if you can just find out what their interests are.

I now know why English films are filled with so much fire and blasts. Without it, where would be demand for such things. LOL. Kidding as usual. LOL. Just asking, would you keep it filled upfront or when there is fire you will start filling. Kidding again. I am in joking mood.

@JudyEv There was a movie I saw - Gods must be crazy. Oh I loved that movie. In that the guy goes far away burns an area so that nothing is left there for burning. Then the bush fire does not come close to him. Kinda periphery can be burned down. You should see that movie to understand what I am saying. I am not as good in English as Pony. But I kinda thought ..oh wow.

It’s good that you’re prepared with your firefighting equipment. That would at least stall any fire while firetrucks are on the way. You and Vince are really well-organized and forward-looking. I wish though that the time would never come when you need to use your equipment.

Good to be prepared. I hope you never need it. It would have been interesting meeting that person. You are into organizing musical concerts. And if I am not wrong, one of your son is a musician. Right??

Nice little setup! Hopefully you'll never have to use it, except maybe to water the trees!

Do you mean people having stories? He also has planted oak trees and is now harvesting truffles.

We hope we don't have to use it too but it gives us peace of mind. We can also clean up bigger heaps of vegetation that we're not game to light at the moment because we have no way of controlling a fire. Thus we can make the whole place safer.
