Cabella's Vacuum Sealer review

We just bought a vacuum sealer for food to put in the freezer. I got tired of foods getting freezer burned, so we're hoping this will help. Have you used one? Do you like it? It's supposed to suck all the air out of the bag and seal it. I'll try freezing some of today's leftovers (venison steaks with rice and gravy) to see how it works. We got this one on line at Cabela's/Bass Pro, had good reviews and I watched some YouTube videos. It would be great to have our frozen foods last longer. Any helpful hints?

They're much more affordable now. We decided to go with a middle range that was around $99.

@Ronrybs That's why we bought a compact size due to limited counter space.

I like the idea of keeping food fresher longer and the packs take up less space than plastic containers.

We have one of these although a different brand and it's excellent. I've never had any trouble with it. We sometimes buy bulk packs of meat as it's cheaper then I vacuum seal it into smaller sizes.

A friend bought one, not sure of the name. She liked it. Could buy meat in bulk and save left over's as you did. I hope you get many years of use from it. Were you okay with the storm the went through overnight? I heard tornado touched down in Brunswick County, NC.

We had a strong storm during the night, but I feel so sorry for those in Brunswick County. We go right past that plantation on our way to Charleston.

We have one but never used it. You can do a lot with a sealer, not just for freezer foods.

I've read that it's useful for other things also.
