Iced Over!

We are iced over and iced in here in my neck of the woods. The photo is a shot of our road looking toward the north. It looks like snow, but a combination of snow and sleet which is mainly ice.
We got a good bit of sleet overnight and a bit more this morning as you can see. We managed to hang on to our electricity all day today. We had 3 flickers in a row and it stayed on. I am hoping and praying that it stay on all night long. Tonight is the cold night with a low of 12. We will probably hit a negative number with the 'feels like' temperature.
I'm ready for summer. Enough of this stuff. I need sunshine and warmth.

@LadyDuck if someone has an accident they won’t get help for hours, if then. The roads are horrid.

I don't blame you. We're enjoying spring-like weather today. But, we also had a month of cool temps as well.

@kareng I know we had a week where it spent a majority of the time in the 80's and now it's down in the 60's.

hopefully no power loss. Some of my team works in Texas. They were unable to join our call yesterday as the power was out in that whole area around Dallas.

@DocAndersen We have been having cycles like that; 3 to 4 days of rain and/or clouds to one day of seeing the sun! It's time for some sun now!

I'm a little late seeing this post, but glad you made it through the worst of that winter weather. Don't worry, spring is right around the corner now.
I love the photo of the snow/ice on your road. It actually is a beautiful shot, if people get over the fact that they don't like snow.

Old man winter better be packing his bags up good now. I'm ready for some sunshine and warm weather! Cooped up and cold too much and too long! I need a road trip! FL Gymnastics is flying high!! I have been very disappointed in our last two meets! Our meet with FL was outstanding for both teams! We need to get back to that caliber! I don't know what happened other than they let it all go to their heads.

@moffittjc Yes it was! No doubt, Florida will be a great team to bring it all home! I think that meet went to our heads, especially the freshmen, because they dropped two meets in a row after the FL-LSU meet that should have been easy wins for them!

@kareng I have been very impressed with the Gator Gymnastics team this year. I hope they can continue their winning ways and bring home another national championship. I will admit, the meet against LSU was definitely a great one for both teams!

We didn't have snow or ice. But we did have rain. My mother says it was bad overnight, but I didn't hear it really. I read that there was a tornado near the coast.
