THunderstorms

We're having one monster of a storm. Mostly a lot of rain. It has Chilly tense and all over the place. I just kissed my husband good night and used the restroom in our master bedroom, and I couldn't move two steps without a furry body latched against my legs. I've tried to hold him, but he's not having it. So, he's in the bedroom with my husband.

The thunderstorm lasted all bout an hour so he was fine. This morning, he was waiting at the foot of the bed for breakfast as usual.

Dogs do bark at the strangest things.

I'm quite proud of him and the fact he doesn't go flying under the bed the second my husband turns on the shower, anymore. When we first got him, walking past the bathroom used to scare him. Now it's only really heavy rain or thunderstorms that send him flying under the bed.

@kaylachan Well, that is certainly an improvement. Doodles tried to hide under a table or chair if we sat with him and kept petting him. However, the loud thunderstorms proved too much for him and he ran upstairs and hid under the middle of our bed. Nothing got him out except a long gone storm. It broke my heart.

Yes, he is. And, he already wants back on the living room couch.

Stay warm and safe. Is that furry body your pet dog?? They are not comfortable with storms and thunderstorms.

No, pet cat. Chilly. I've talked about him on here before. He's not hiding under the bed, but at the same time not letting me walk isn't good either. I couldn't understand why he kept rubbing my right foot.

@kaylachan I have no idea about cats. I never had them as I am allergic to cats. Do they also feel scared in thunderstorms??

Tinker loves me so much he would trip me if he could. I understand about Chilly.

Yeah. I could not leave the bedroom last night. I joked to my husband, I might have to go to bed with him. Just so Chilly would be more comfortable.

I can't blame animals for being scared of thunder. They hear things differently than we do, and often feed off of our feelings. While Chilly is not afraid of the sound of water, like he once was, thunderstorms still scare him. At least our animals know they can count on us.

Nope. Never last long, but they create quite the mess while they are here.

We've had two or three in the last week. Now we're having bright, sunny days.

Those Florida thunderstorms are very scary sometimes. I had to give my 75-lb. Aussie Acepromazine every time we had one.

Your husband sounds lucky to have him. Will either be able to settle down for the night? The one because of the storming the other because of the fire ball attachment or does chilly calm down more with your husband?
