Early morning's bountiful harvest

After 3 days of continuous rain, the forecast for today and the succeeding days is sunny so I went to the garden early to harvest some of the vegetables. The lettuce are all cramped up with plenty of leaves so I needed to harvest them.
I also made a final harvest of the rocket before pulling them out. I harvested some bok choy leaves and pulled out one which was already starting to bolt. I guess I made a late harvest of the tomato because they were already starting to crack open.
I hope it's a sunny day out there at your end too.

That's a very nice harvest this morning!
We got 20 cm of snow last night. It was blocking our front door this morning. It took both Pretty and I shoving to get the door to open. The temp outside was -23 C when we got up. It has risen to -13 C now, at 6;30 pm.
I don't think I'll be harvesting any vegetables today.

So you’re still having that snow. At the moment the sun is biting hot here so I covered my newly-transplanted bok choy so they won’t wither. Keep warm with a cup of coffee or tea.

@sunrisefan If you looked hard enough, you might find the door between where you're at now and my house. You'd be welcome to come over and help me shovel off the sidewalk.

A beautiful harvest - wow ! I have 3 sweet peppers almost ready to harvest - and that's it , It is warm here, but not in the mornings and nights . . . right now it is super windy. So when it warms up a little bit more, I'll start to get serious with the gardening.

@sunrisefan I would love to have lettuce like you, but it seems like caterpillars get to them.

@much2say I’ve read that lettuce is not attacked or if attacked, it is very seldom attacked. This is the reason lettuce growers don’t need to spray insecticide on lettuce.

Bountiful indeed because we can’t consume it all so most of it are in the chiller. The buttercrunch lettuce is ready to be harvested but I will wait for a few more days.

@sunrisefan Covering the garden with net is a very good idea.

@JudyEv Yes, I thought of it because the birds and the cats messed with my plants before.

Thanks. Glad to know it’s sunny at your end. It’s sunny here in Auckland NZ too but a tropical storm is approaching our country back home in the Philippines.

They're now fed up with eating my harvests :) Tomorrow I will be harvesting bok choi, lettuce and some rocket and capsicum. The spring onions can also be harvested anytime.
