Except now it is where and how can you get your shot for the vaccine?Someone I know who lives in this county just posted he got his shot and everybody was asking, where, how etc. Apparently, they were having a vaccine event at the Middle School. He is about my age, and might have high blood pressure, and I take meds for it as well. How come I didn't hear anything? Hmm, somebody gets a shot and everybody wants the info. I was asking at Kroger yesterday, they had a sign up they were out of vaccine.

City governments should really be updating this kind of info on their site..

Yeah, I think I am going to have to start reading the local newspaper. I am not a regular reader.

Every town(city)should let their residents know, when/where the vaccine will be administered. Some just don't bother.

They might have it posted somewhere. it is really the health department who seems to be controlling most of it.

@snowy22315 We have an electronic announcement board, along the main highway into town. If there are any major announcements or changes to be made, they post it there.

Yeah. I know. Here you can make an appointment to get it if you want it, but it's anyone's best guess how much there is or who's going to be bumped to the top of the list. My issue is, this vaccine has been approved way too quickly. I can't help but feel those of us who get it, are unwilling test subjects because they weren't able to complete trials. Which is why they're being more and more selective. In addition, all vaccines require two injections. Usually a few weeks apart. So, they are only treating even less people in this way.

@sharon6345 Thank you for that. I am only being honest, here. I won't be surprised if my doctor mentions something, but he didn't say a word about me not wearing a mask in his office. So, I doubt he will.

I think most of the elderly people have probably gotten it by now, and the first responders..Some of us are older and might have HBP or some such thing. I think they are starting to move into that group now.

Have you gone to VAMS. That is the CDC site to sign up if you are eligible. I went to our healthcare provider site to register. Our state has a site too. The roll out has been well organized here.

I haven't but I will now...THanks. This state is trying, but leaves a lot to be desired. I have heard they are in the stop 10-15 in terms of using alloted vaccines though. Actually, though they seem to be pointing people to the health department, and I am registered with them.

@BelleStarr I tried to register at Walgreens. They kept denying my registration saying I had a previous account but I will try with a new email addy.

I am sure the info is posted somewhere but I never seem to see it. I am going to start reading the local paper. It is a good one. I just don,t usually find too many things that interest me in there.

@snowy22315 No, I just assumed because of my age (almost 40) I wasn't high on any list.

I signed up where I work and even though they've been working on going through the list I only signed up a week or so ago so I'm sure I have a wait yet. But I'm not in any hurry. My hubs thinks I could die from it based on what he watches in TV I totally disagree.

That's pretty slow, but I gather the virus isn't a big problem there.

@snowy22315 It's very slow and the government is copping a bit of flack over it but it's true that we don't have a big problem here.

It kind of is, but the world has never faced this before at least not in recent times. It is a monumental task and with over 300 thousand people in the U.S. it is almost to be expected I am afraid.

@CarolDM The vaccine isn't rolling off the line fast enough. It is a monumental undertaking. States are not very efficient either.

@snowy22315 It could be done, if they would get the vaccine and just get organized.

I will! Would much rather roll the dice with a shot than getting Covid! People who refuse to get the shot makes it less safe for everyone.
