Are there viable alternatives to PayPal out there?

PayPal used to be a dependable way of sending and receiving payments online. I used PayPal for many years, especially when I was buying and selling vintage audio gear on eBay.
But I now find that I cannot access my account, and that I cannot transfer money from my PayPal account to my bank. I changed my password, as requested, but PayPal will not accept my new password, leaving me with hundreds of dollars that I cannot access.
A call to Customer Service yields a typical stone wall, blamed in part on Covid-19.
If PayPal is no longer viable, are there other services out there that fulfill a similar need? Can I have my MyLot earnings sent somewhere else?
I am sad about what has happened to PayPal. I was a faithful "customer" for many years.

I am not aware of any problems with PayPal. If you have a problem with your account, you need to contact PayPal yourself. We cannot help you. Sorry!

Maybe I'll forward this to @GoAskAlice. Or is it @GoAskAlex? Could PayPal have been taken over my a poor CEO? I have NO idea! They used to be a "constant" in my internet life.

Hope you can get it fixed. Nothing I know of that most sites use

There is Payoneer which transfers money from a site you get money from directly to your bank account. I had to sign up with them for working from Textbroker when the site changed from PayPal services to Payoneer. Take a look online,

@TheHorse check them out online all I know is that I had to do it for Textbroker and they are not bad they get the money and zip it on to my bank.

That is bizarre. Are you sure you wrote in the new password the way you think you did. I almost locked myself out of a state government site today because I missed one letter in my username when I looked it up.
Will it let you reset it again? You may need to wait 24 hours or so first.

@TheHorse so everything is good now and you got back into PayPal then? If so you may want to edit your post to reflect that.

@TheHorse That's good. I think it is still the best alternative out there.

@snowy22315 They have changed the site's appearance, but I was able to find what I needed this time.

Vince is trying to set up a new PayPal business account. Something went wrong and he managed to talk to someone in the Philippines about it. He set a new password but it wouldn't recognise it blah blah. He had to wait 4-8 hours for the site to reset itself. Maybe you should try again. I'm not sure how he managed to find a person to talk to. He hasn't tried again yet so I don't know if it's fixed itself or not.

I would keep on pursuing PayPal. It's not like them not to be dependable. Let me know if I can be of any help.

@TheHorse My offer still holds -- I will try and do some research for you if you want and you can't get anywhere.

Sorry to hear you are having problems with it. So far, knock on wood, I have not. I can't think of many offhand, but I have heard of many. The one that does readily come to mind is Venmo. But I have no idea if it is better. I just hear people say 'I'll Venmo you" almost as often as I hear someone say "I'll PayPal you."

@porwest I was able to get through this morning. I changed my password to something foul and obscene, and it accepted it on the second try. They've made it a bit harder to find "transfer money to your bank," but I DID find it.

I'm sorry you're having difficulties with PayPal, pony... Here are a list of alternate sites that Business News Daily says are all viable for use instead.
Personally, Pretty and I haven't experienced any problems with PayPal... yet.

@TheHorse Good luck with it.
At least you have the list if it doesn't do any good.
