Letting go on thing/habit we used to is really hard

I guess it’s already two weeks without coffee for me. I used to consume two mugs per day even if I was told a long time ago by my doctor to give it up. Taking tea or even milk has the same effect so it’s on the list for drinks that I should limit the intake or completely avoid it. I admit it’s hard because I’m tempted when someone at home will have their coffee, enjoying it and above all when the aroma is inviting you and getting in to your senses. For me it’s irresistible but I tried harder to do not give up on my urge to have it. I felt a little better now after taking my medication for acid reflux within two weeks and I think that it’s not a reason for me to revert to old habits yet. All for now is, I’m trying my best to discipline my very self.

I guess you are like my wife who loves coffee and was also advised to avoid or totally stop it. But old habits die hard that he would make a lot of excuses just to drink it. Now her reflux has been frequent and felt right after drinking her coffee. That is why she stopped her intake as well for the past days. I hope she can literally stop it for her wellness.

As an avid coffee drinker I feel bad that you had to give it up. I hope your reflux gets better without the coffee but I agree that it's hard to resist and the aroma is definitely enticing.

I was advised before by my cousin to stop drinking coffee but I don’t drink milk so I continue to have a cup of coffee at breakfast and another cup during afternoon snack time. There are conflicting findings about coffee. Some say it’s bad for the health but I’ve also read that drinking not more than 4 cups a day is good for the heart. Makes me confused.

maybe it depends if brewed or instant?
