Now I´m going to wash them and place them in the freezer on 2s or 3s, enough for a smoothie. When I want one, I just take out the amount I need.
It is not fun to clean strawberries so much, specially since I´m sure that my cleaning will not be enough should they have the covid.
I do it mainly out of guilt. I could not eat them if I don´t wash them.
Have your cleaning habits changed lately? I am used to clean my hands a lot but I did not clean the veggies and the fruit this much.

I now leave none of those little dots in the peel.

Lots. Because I´m not too fond of strawberries unless in jams or smoothies.

Fortunately I peel most of the fruit. But now a lot of the groceries stay at the garage for a couple of days.

You're supposed to wash fruit and veggies you buy in a store. Or, rather run them under cold water and pat them dry. Anything else would just intentionally make you sick. Fruits and vegies are usually quite porise and absorb everything that comes into contact with them. which is why running them under cold water before use is vital.
To answer the question, no, not really. My habits have remained pretty much the same.

I have always washed my veggies and fruit, included those that I boil later.

A little bit acidic so I add a bit of sugar to the smoothie.

My cleaning habits have changed with this pandemic. I'm now more careful especially when I go out. I'd rather stay in if it was up to me.

My cleaning habits haven’t changed much. We try to wash most of our fruits before eating. Washing hands like normal.

I washed the peaches and they are drying. But I will wash the strawberries tomorrow except the ones I used for my smoothie.

I always give them a white vinegar water mix wash too. We had eat lung worm disease scare, so I got a bit more careful. I bathe them in fish water as well.

@marguicha I bought strawberries today also, along with blueberries and raspberries. I just put them all in a bowl with yoghurt and ate them that way. Apparently all those berries are really good at keeping blood pressure stable.

How do you clean them? I just rinse them under running water. I've had frozen strawberries before but they were store-bought. I prefer fresh ones. But the good thing with frozen is you can have them any time. Just defrost and enjoy in whatever you are making. I usually blend them with frozen blueberries and pour on top of pancakes. Of course, I defrost the berries first.

I think everyone is using hand sanitizer and washing their hands much more now that we have Covid. It's no joke and you can never be too careful. Better to be safe than sorry!
