Gardening done... that's one thing off the list.

And that's a big relief and now my garden looks good though most of pots look barren as I trimmed, pruned and harvested few. I have sown some more pots with spinach, amaranthus, radish and ladyfinger. They should be sprouting in some time. Manures are added and I have sprayed neem oil to prevent any infection. Finally all pots done and I am done with gardening for this month other than watering the plants and adding some more vermicompost after two weeks.
That's a big work done and ticked on my to do list.
My help assisted with all arrangements and cleaning up. It's easier to be done with help.
That's the only work I have done so far on Sunday. We slept late around 1 last night and I was in bed till 7:30 this morning.I skipped cooking breakfast. We managed with corn flakes, milk and boiled eggs. Now here I am after a refreshing shower. And having my cup of coffee. Now it's time to enter kitchen and cook lunch. I marinated the chicken in the morning so that it's well marinated before I cook it. For my vegetarian self, I am making ladyfinger fry and potata and soya chunk curry. We will have hot rice and onion cucumber salad.
The jasmine scented floor cleaner is filling the room with a refreshing aroma. My help has just cleaned the floor.
Now time to mylot for a while till my coffee lasts
Leaving you with this picture from my veggies garden. It's snake gourd and it's my first attempt with this veggie in my garden. Makes me feel happy. There are three more in the plant. I guess they will be ready for harvest next week
Take care. Enjoy your time

I am happy to see my gourd plant. It's doing good and I hope to have them on my plate next week..
Well, chores are never ending. And household work goes on and on in a vicious never ending circle.

@arunima25 I hope you have some on your plate too. We are in winter time here right now with ice and snow on the ground.
Yes. It is a vicious cycle with chores. Glad to still be able to do my part though, especially with health conditions on top of it.

@stephcjh You have to wait for some time for summer. I know no gardening there in winters. We are lucky that way at least here in my city, we don't have those extreme temperatures and gardening can go year around.
I am not sure about what health issues you are dealing with. But it's great that you are able to do your part

@arunima25 The next week I start seeding and place the seedlings in the greenhouse.
Some plants will be moved outside in April, others only in May.

We are lucky here in Bangalore. Weather stays more or less the same throughout year. We get produce throughout. But it's not the case in other parts of country. There you have to take care of season to grow your veggies.
Soon you should be in your garden tendering your plants. It's just a few more weeks of wait.

@LadyDuck So your gardening venture starts next week. I have got few plastic glasses and cans. I am going to use those glasses to sow seeds. And planning to use those cans for hanging plants.Saw one YouTube video and I liked the idea of space management and recycling.

What a way - Gardening followed by good food and Coffee!!
Is Neem Oil spray readily available and is it costly?
Most of our plants have moderate growth.
May be we need some fresh manure or some trimming.

Yes one has to invest some time on the plants but yes the results do come.
Yet if the whole household is busy, then caring for plants becomes tedious.
Yet over the last few days, I have started watering plants more.

I get the neem oil from trustbasket. In fact they are good for all garden supplies. It's not so expensive. And you need to add 50 ml in 1 litre water and then spray. Since I have more than hundred pots, I finish two bottles in a go.
Today I noticed some infestations in radish leaves and one hibiscus plant. I need to spray on these plants again. Else I do it once in 15 days. Same with vermicompost, I put them once in 15 days.
With little care, plants show good results.

Been spending my mornings tending the garden. Summer is fast approaching and the soil dries fast. Love to sit on my bamboo bench and watch the moths, butterflies and birds flutter and fly from flower to flower, tree to tree.
Your garden sounds bountiful. Mine yields little harvest.

@arunima25 The garden is therapeutic for me. Would you believe I talk to my plants? But I do feel they communicate back by becoming greener and blooming flowers and bearing fruits.
There's a feeling of serenity when one is in the garden.
Thanks for the tip. i'll check youtube.

@eileenleyva You are not alone there. When I walk around my terrace I look at all plants, talk to them and see what they need. I feel like a parent to them and they are my babies.Even as a young girl I talked to flowers and bees

@arunima25 It looked like the white pumpkin that comes in two shapes round and long. I am not so fond of the snake gourd. We have had ridge gourd earlier There were too many of them.

It's called snake gourd. Similar to ridge gourd in shape and taste but has a smooth taste. It will grow a bit more long but not thick.
You are right.. Gardening brings so much joy especially if we get the results.

Learning more and more tricks and ideas to have more plants in limited space. YouTube has many videos that are good and teach space management in gardening. I try to get better
And it's always a sense of pride and fulfillment.
