I got a can from my combo meal. Honestly, not a fan of soft drink. So we'll see when I would drink this. But it makes me wonder, does it really healthy to drink zero calorie coke. It said it's sugar free, but it still soft drink, right? Won't there be side effect from drinking this?

@DaddyEvil the recipe that I try the most is chicken coca cola. I love the caramel taste of it.

Sugar substitute may not be as bad as sugar for health so taking sugar free drinks may not be that bad.

I drink soft drinks but I really do not think any of them are actually healthy when it comes to their content or lack of. Not sure of the actual side effects.

The nutritional information showed that it got nothing but 26mg of sodium.

@prinzcy Oh my. That seems to be just as bad as if it had some sugar in it, to me.

I rarely drink soft drinks, so whether that has an effect I'm not sure.

I do not like the taste of zero calorie drinks. I do not drink any caffeine drinks either.

I drink caffeine though, especially coffee. So you don't drink coffee, tea and cocoa?

Zero calories drinks are not healthy. A study found a link between artificially sweetened beverages and an increased risk of heart disease.

@prinzcy It's because it has no calories that many drink that garbage.

Artificial sweeteners such as aspartame and saccharin may affect blood vessels and eventually lead to stroke and dementia. As early as 2017, a study by the American Heart Association pointed out: "compared with people who drink artificial sweet drinks less than once a week, people who drink such drinks every day are three times more likely to suffer from stroke or dementia."

You're right, it isn't healthy. One can won't do much harm, but I wouldn't drink it regularly. I know some friends have had some strange side-effects from drinks like that.

I know a girl that lost most of her teeth when I was young due to drinking soft drink. We're like 13 at the time.

@prinzcy Oh how horrible for her. That was probably the sugar though. Without sugar you worry more about the other chemicals that are used instead.

I quit drinking all sodas over 25 years ago. Sugar is bad and sugar free is just as bad.
