When you're trying to be kind

I read a posting on Facebook today about a woman sharing her story of a donation she made. The receiver, not just not being ungrateful, upload the picture of her donation on Facebook, condemning the woman. Not sincere, always the same item and stingy.
She blocked the woman, didn't want to get into a fight. But she said she won't stop helping others despite being sad. It just that she didn't want to see the woman again. Whatever she gave the woman, came from her hard earned money.
I could totally understand her feeling. I would do the same thing as well. If you're in her shoes, what would you do?

What was donated and why? If the donation was a swimsuit and the person it was donated to was needing money to fix her car, then I wouldn't be grateful, either.

Swimsuit?
No, it's food and necessity. Some people would do that as a way to help others in need. Like how NGO do it. I also received a few packages during the first lockdown. Most donation would have rice, cooking oil, sugar, biscuit, coffee or tea, instant noodles, canned food and more. It's a common practice here.

@prinzcy I've seen weirder things here... People think you can always sell whatever they give you and make the money you need that way... Well, during the pandemic, nobody wants a swimsuit and wouldn't buy one from someone they didn't know, anyway. Some people are crazy!
If it was foods and such the person donated, then the person receiving it had no room to complain. It doesn't matter if it was the same thing she donated before. The other person should have said thank you very much and been grateful to get anything.

@DaddyEvil that's very true. I got biscuits that I never see before during the lockdown. But it's a donation purchased with the donor's money. I would be grateful no matter what.

Sometimes our intention is good but it can be unappreciated. I don't usually give things but I do give foods to those who would ask.

I would do something similar. Some people on FB are such trolls. I posted a comment about something and some woman was trying to make me feel guilty o something. Even though I told her I didn't need her input. . Honestly, I don't know what is wrong with people today. So many do things that are just rude and or hurtful. No wonder kids bully, they obviously learn it at home!

I would not put anywhere if I have donated anything in particular.
I can understand how she feels though in a way.

When I donate, I never think about what I will get in the future, such as grateful words and so on. I just feel at ease!
