Funny: "Are your fish have names?" HAHAHA!!!

A nine-year-old boy is bragging that he has seven goldfish. Since I am running out of time teaching him, I need to do something. So I asked him if they have names. He stopped and looked at me with no words came out of his mouth. I took the chance to move to another page. One thing for sure, he cannot name them instantly. The reason is that all of them look alike. Can you give names of fish with the same species? Image Credit: bestanimations.com

That is a good one. You could probably write a book with these stories.

I also noticed that I have been posting about funny moments with students online. If I can squeeze my time, I will consolidate them and create a book. Thanks for your suggestion.

@CarolDM I am trying to make the worse situation the best with these students, especially the rude ones.

@Shavkat My ex had fish and they were his and not mine so I did not give them names. I do name cars and animals. Sorry I am not a fish person so can only think of goldfish.

I am not fond of having pet fish, too. My younger brother had them before, but he did not give names.

Haha I do love fish but I do not name them. I can identify each and everyone but I usually do not name them individually.

@Shavkat I know each of my fish no matter they are the same l can differentiate one from the other. They all have unique personalities that you can see the difference feom one another.

@rsa101 I am not sure if I have the patience knowing their personalities. Perhaps I can just have one like Arowana. At least, I just need to name it and have it as a fish pet.

When we had an aquarium with fishes, I never dared to name them. I am fine knowing what kind of breed they are.

I never bothered to name any of my fish. When I used to have the walking sharks I just called them my babies. I never talked about or to them individually, just both together, so that worked just fine. Now that they passed away I call my guppies my babies. Pretty just calls them "Fish, fish, fish." as she walks past their tank. I actually tell them how beautiful they are and then when feeding them I tell them I'm giving them something different every day. Yesterday, while feeding them fish food I told them I was giving them pizza. The day before that I told them the fish food was ice cream. They don't know what those are so must just think everything is fish food.

You did it right. It is not cool to make ourselves complicated in naming pet fishes. It will be confusing if I do this. I will do the same thing as Pretty. I am going to tell them that they need to eat or else, they will be eaten. Just kidding.

Oh myy hahaha ?? Anyway, You sure know how to deal with him until he runs out of words! And if I were him, I would also be confused to name each of the 7 fish and it would be very difficult to tell who is who unless they have special characteristics. Or I will put them in separate places so I can recognize them hahahaha

I am sure he will be so confused if he did this. Pretty sure, he cannot afford to separate them. It is possible if they are different species.

@Shavkat Yes, I agree! Moreover goldfishs have similiar body size. Maybe it can work for bigger size of fish, it's usually have various size so we can distinguish them.

I can't possibly recognize them, otherwise the other pets may have different faces so I can name them.

I think two fish alike can have names. For seven fish, it will be a challenge for the pet owner.

@Shavkat The two fish were different enough to recognize the one from the other.

we had two gold fishes and they were a bit different, one had something on her head - that's how we could tell them apart.
