Here is our dog, Monday. He just lies anywhere there is a flat surface. At the top of the stairs, below the sofa, below the bed. We always have to watch our feet since he may be lying there.

I think you need to be careful about stepping him. One of my dogs is also sleeping under my bed sometimes.

yeah, he just pops up anywhere. I once stepped on his tail, good thing it was just the hair so it did not hurt at all.

Our last dog was Sandy/Sunday. My mom wanted to call him Monday, but we just call him Mandy, since it's easier to pronounce Even though he's a boy.
