Decision: No Vaccines for Three Months

My family and I decided not to have the vaccines for three months. It is in doubt that makes us think this way now. Taking the risk is not our cup of tea. We have to wait what will be the outcome for those fellowmen who had these vaccines. We do not want to be a mutant after being injected. Are you going to take the risk with Chinese vaccines? The vaccines here are getting very good response. Our country's indigenous vaccines are proving to be very good. I would take it when my turn comes and that would be some months of wait. Many have taken in my family as senior citizens and frontline workers. They are doing good

That's a good result then. I am sure we can have the vaccines in time. We do not want to rush things up. After administering the Sinovac vaccines in the capital of my country, some had bad effects. Even the president asked to stop injecting to senior citizens and wait for further notice.

@arunima25 I hope they can do this idea. I heard that these vaccines are being produced in your country. Is it true?

@Shavkat These two vaccines in our country have shown good results so far with not many cases of side effects. And many have been vaccinated so far. The government is doing it at a 24*7 rate and they are reaching their targets soon. We just keep our fingers crossed that the whole world gets over this virus scare soon.

I am hoping for the best with these vaccines. What brand of vaccine did your hubby receive? Honestly, I am not confident with China's vaccine Sinovac.

Most likely, yes. I have to wait though as I am part of group five and they are accepting only groups 1-3 now.

It s also the same thing. Senior citizens are on the second rank on the priority list and that includes my mom. She will not take it right away and wait for three months period. We need to be sure that the vaccines being ordered will not cause any bad outcomes.

@Shavkat I understand that. Here in the US there was so much conflicting information about the vaccine. Many of us were scared.

@ScribbledAdNauseum One thing that makes us puzzled is the Chinese vaccines do not have any proof of effectiveness. All I know is that it is only 50%.

I have to wait anyway I am not yet in the group of those who are receiving the vaccine. They will start with my group at the beginning of May.

It is also the same with the rest of my family members. We are not on the priority list. We are just concern with my mom who is on the second group on this list. She is uncomfortable hearing the negative effects of it, not only on Chinese vaccines that include the other brand vaccines available in the market now.

@Shavkat We are not obliged to go as soon as the vaccine is available for our category, we can decide to get it later.

@Shavkat You have every right to decide if you want to wait to get the vaccine or not get it. I feel vaccines are a private matter and it is up to each individual what is best for them.

@Hannihar Good thing that it did not come to that situation here so far. I am sure the locals will be agitated if that will be set as a rule here in my country.

@Shavkat Here they are telling those that do not get the vaccine that they cannot go into certain places. That is not fair at all. It is a personal thing whoever wants to get it and why they do or do not.

I am sorry to hear this. I think it needs to have medical clearance before having the vaccine. Is it a contraindicated illness?

I did not know that. Let me check it. This is more serious than being a mutant. I think it is best to wait and not rush things up. I am not ready to be like Wolverine and the other characters.

I will take the vaccine when it is my turn. They are always enhancing it, so better off to wait until they have it tweaked well to help us as best as we can.

Since my mom is a senior citizen, she will reject the idea if it is her turn for now. The last time I talked to her is she was agitated about it. We decided not to have and wait for three months after being administered to the same group for three months.

You're asking the wrong question, Shavkat... The question you should be asking people is which vaccine they are getting and only if they say the Chinese vaccine should you ask if they are worried about getting it. Notice, most of the people responding to you look to be getting Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.

LOL mutant. Hubby is getting it soon being a frontline. We joke around about being zombies and such. On a serious note we are just hoping and praying it will be the solution we are looking for.

That's great to hear. If I am still working in a hospital, I will be one of the frontliners. If it happens, it still considered a call of duty to be one. I need to carry on what I ought when I received my professional license before. Like you, I wanted this pandemic to end soon.

@Shavkat I respect your decision. I do not plan to receive any, now I know that I will not receive it even after 3 months. They say that we will not be able to leave the borders of our country if we are not vaccinated, there is no problem, I have come to terms with my fate ... if I something hate it, it is blackmail!

Oh, my. It sounds like a mandatory rule. The bright side is that it is not Chinese vaccines being ordered in my city. Technically, it is much better than Sinovac from China. Moreover, we are still not going to have them and wait for the outcome for three months period.

I think it is not yet our turn being not in the list of priority to receive the vaccine yet since it is the medical frontliners that will be the first then the senior citizens to follow before our turn will be given. So I think with the way our government is getting the vaccines our turn will be delayed further.

@Shavkat The second vaccine has arrived already. Ao dor now there is a choice available already. Butbyuey way the vaccination are going through. The medical frontliners are the ones being given a priority.

I agree. it is not our turn to have them. My mom is second to the line of the priority list. But, it is best to wait for safety reasons. It will be delayed because they had claimed to have no funds.

@allknowing Actually, some issues need to consider. Some experts claimed that people who were injected need to still wear face masks and shields. It is a concern why need to wear them after being vaccinated.
