Enjoying my first cup of coffee of the day.

Feeling the chill air on my feet, wondering if it will warm up today. My flaky preschool boss hasn't called me, so I assume she has no kids there today. Or maybe she's just flaking. I'll work/teach a couple of hours at Guitar Center tomorrow. So I'm enjoying my coffee and not letting things bother me. Where are you in your day?

It's afternoon here on the east coast. Still deciding what we want for dinner. Normally by now I already have it in my head what to make. Maybe I need another cup of coffee to motivate me. Enjoy your teaching guitar tomorrow.

@TheHorse I don't think there are around here. Mostly we have Ball Park, Nathans and Hebrew Nationals.

I slept in a bit this morning. The cool air felt good on my face. My down comforter did its job.

Oh, I got my replacement card yesterday. I was able to deposit the money I had on hand. Your link to B of A's Facebook page was helpful to me. Can I say "thanks"?

We're getting little drops here (finally). Not much though. I just finished my last zip of coffee. Kids are in their virtual class, so I think I'll bake some cookies.

I'm still working on my own coffee. I need to get more half and half tomorrow, as mine has turned. I had to break into the emergency powdered coffee creamer, which just isn't the same.

@TheHorse I shouldn't complain because the half and half was free in the first place because it was slightly past date. One of the perks of working at a grocery store is getting first dibs on the discards before they are donated or thrown out.

@TheHorse I am not able to sleep as something troubling my husband and I am just there to be with him. He lost one family member to covid complications and other one is in hospital. His cousin had liver failure after corona. He underwent transplant three days back. His daughter has donated. They both are in ICU right now.

I was doing fine and having fun on myLot until Pretty decided we had to go get a few groceries today. On the drive to the grocery store I started getting dizzy... but decided I was okay to go shopping for a little bit. As we shopped, I kept leaning to the right and felt more and more dizzy. Pretty decided we were going home, no matter what I said. After we got home I fell down while helping her unload groceries from the car. She helped me up and called the doctor. They suggested putting me back in bed and see if that helped. I fell asleep for a couple of hours and feel fine now. *shrug* It was weird! I hope your day was a good one.

Hi, Pony. I was wondering if you still had a job there. I guess the Covid pandemic is keeping kids at home these days, especially the little guys. At what age do you teach guitar to, kids or adults?

@TheHorse Someone was teaching me to play the guitar when I lived in the Bay Area. I could not do all the notes because my fingers would not reach some of them. They started showing me the banjo which is smaller. They gave it to me. When I married, I brought it east with me. One day I was out and my husband traded my banjo for a ping pong table. I was just devastated.

It really depends on how you define "teaching guitar." I will sing along with a child as young as 1 1/2, and let them strum my mandolin (a small instrument). But actually teaching fretting (making your own notes with your fingers) starts at maybe 5-years-old.

Same here enjoying a cup of coffee and looking at job postings as I've recently quit my job last December. I work as a software engineer and currently sharpening my skills as the technical exams are complex in this field.
