All My Bank Accounts are Gone Permanently

I just got a voice mail from the Federal Reserve system. Due to suspicious banking activities, all my bank accounts are gone permanently. I did not press 1 to be connected to the Concern Department of the Federal Reserve. If you get a call like that, it is most likely a scam. Have you had any scam calls or messages lately? Who is calling you?

@DianneN You mean like in a real job? They probably don't want to get up early and drag their weary bodies to work.

@ScribbledAdNauseum With that one, I sat there laughing when I listened to the message. They really expected me to believe that stuff.

Scam! You will not get a call telling you your bank accounts are gone. If the Federal Reserve is involved, your accounts will just be empty without warning.

One Mylotter here seems to be scammed of her Paypal account via email. Last night I also received a suspicious email from the Social Security System in my country about registering for an online webinar so I sent an email to the Member Relations to inquire and I’m waiting for their reply.

It is good to be careful and ask. I have gotten scam emails from eBay, Paypal, and Amazon. I send them to the spoof departments and they always say they did not send them.

@sunrisefan They like to pick on retirees. They figure that many are not thinking straight and will be willing to turn their money over to strangers.

@akalinus That is why I sent an email to inquire and if it’s really a scam I will inform my former co-workers who are also retirees.

The call is a scam. The number is disconnected. Someone was trying to get me to call back for whatever reason. I sent you a private message with something interesting for you so I hope you check that too. Have fun with your friends.

@Shivram59 I watched the video. It is about fifteen of the top 200 photographs of Mars surface taken by the cameras on the Perseverance Rover sent to Mars by NASA. It's so exciting to see the surface of a planet so far away from us.Earlier I had seen some photographs of Mars sent by our own space agency ISRO.Our spacecraft "Mangalyaan" is also there on Mars and it is still operating. The photographs sent by the Perseverance Rover are coloured ones and more clear. Thanks again for this video.

Yeah, I have known people who fell for scams. My friend's husband fell for the grandfather scam and lost $5,000. You know the one. It starts out with a kid calling and saying that he is in trouble and needs money to get out of jail or some other dumb excuse. After he sends the money, he calls and finds the grandson perfectly fine with no problems.

@porwest He said that the caller sounded like his grandson who supposedly got into an accident in Canada and he needed the money so he could leave. He was in jail and had to pay a fine to get out, etc. Send the money via Western Union.

I do have Prime and just got a bill from my credit card company for charges from Amazon that I don't remember making. It is impossible to get hold of the customer service. I pay for my Amazon purchases with gift cards that I earn online. What is going on with that?

I don't answer the phone unless I am expecting a call or I recognize a family or friend number. Yesterday, I got a call from my bank. Of course, I answered it. It was someone talking about credit card interest rates.

I keep getting calls about the "warranty on my car" or how I've qualified for a reduction in my mortgage rates. Thing is, I'm not the one whose name is on the car and I don't have a mortgage.

Somebody called home to talk to dad. I said regarding what - he wouldn't say...ordered me. That was oh so annoying. I slammed the phone. Thrice .. then he said dad had invested in xxxx and the amount matured. Ah...but I am the one who invests, and dad does nothing. So gotcha. I said you take it. Then slammed the receiver again. LOL

Yep, they would probably ask for all my bank information to prove that it is really me speaking. Then they would want you to send a copy of your driver's license or passport to make sure of your identity. Never give information to a stranger on the phone unless you placed the call.

@nela13 I can. My son's Paypal got hacked. He only had a couple of dollars in it but they tried to take a large amount from his bank. He did not have enough so they tried for less. It ran up charges for insufficient amounts and lost some of his money. He spent hours talking to the fraud department and got his funds back but everything was paid late and that ran up more charges. Just be super careful out there.
