Happy Friday Everyone! it's sunny but oh soooo cold this morning.
Yesterday was a busy day and I didn't have much chance to get back here to chat.
The gas company technician came. He was fully masked when he had to come into the house to see what appliances, etc ran on gas. He informed me he had to turn off the gas so he could work on changing the meter and that he would be done in about 2 hours!! Here I thought this was going to be a quick thing.
Anyway, to make a long story short, he got the job done, the gas was turned back on and he was gone in a little under 2 hours. I really was glad that we weren't freezing while the gas was off and that it all worked fine when it came back on. Last night wasn't a night to sleep without heat.
Aside from the the waiting game I just felt like the day was a bust. By the time he left I just didn't have the head to sit at the computer so I tried to take a nap. Nope didn't happen. I just couldn't fall asleep even though I was tired.
Next thing I knew it was time for dinner and the day just disappeared.
Today I'm playing the "catch up" game. I'm trying to get the things done that I wanted to do yesterday so that there isn't much to do over the weekend.
Putting in an order to pick up at Sams Club tomorrow morning. Now that my daughter is working 5 days a week we don't have those middle of the week days to run errands. Some I can do by myself but others it's best to do together.
I'm making stew in the crock pot tonight for dinner. Easy peasy
Hoping to get the things done that I have on my " to do " list for today so I can sit and relax this afternoon and finish my book.
That's what's going on here today....how about you??

There's always something to do in the house. I wish I had a self cleaning house!! With all the advances in technology why hasn't someone invented it?

@Marilynda1225 It's just never-ending, isn't it? Do it, wait a while and it needs doing again.

Yay, the meter thing is all done now! I know, all it takes is one off-routine thing to throw off the whole day. Hope you get everything caught up today. Today I already prepared an area to start gardening - but I'm already pooped. Happy Friday and enjoy the weekend!

@Marilynda1225 For us it could be summer . . . apparently it will be a dry season. We will do both - flowers and edibles - but the thing is we may have some work done (putting up concrete block walls), so I still have to think about plant placement - I don't want them to get trampled on .

Spring is right around the corner. I'm sure you're anxious to get your garden planted. Flowers or vegetables?

Its nice that he was there and gone in less time then he originally quoted to you.
And I'm glad that there were no issues as a result of the meter being changed out.
I remember we had a garage added on to the house and we had to have Ontario Hydro out to move the meter as well as a electrician. They moved the meter and then the electrician team turned the power back on, and they ran 220 thru our 110 volt home. So many things had to be replaced, everything from light bulbs to electronics. But they came clean for replacing everything, it was just an inconvenience and I swear these things only happen to us.
We're waiting on a delivery for pizza and wings, my hubby ordered it a while ago.

Sounds likexs huge headache when you had your meter moved. I was keeping my fingers crossed that there weren't any issues once the new meter was installed. I couldn't even imagine having no heat if there was a problem.
Hope you enjoyed your pizza and wings

Sometime today I get to try to call my previous home equity company to find out if any settlements were made when we took out the h.e. mortgage because one loan we did with quicken was never discharged and that needs to happen before our refi can move to the next step.
What makes it difficult is that quicken transferred the mortgage too a company that for bought by another company and they could have transferred it to another after that. That's a lot of calls to make. So the loan officer suggested I start from the most recent and maybe I won't have to do as much work as it appears.
It's that as clear as mud?

I definitely hope you can get it figured out without too many phone calls. Its a nuisance when a company sells a loan to another .

@Marilynda1225 I hope the company were just paid off paid the second place because I tried to talk to someone at bank of america and you can't without having an account number. It's such an old loan, from 2006, that it's not in the current databases.
There might be a bank of america bank in our area that I might have to go to of necessary. But I'm hoping it will work out this other way instead. I just won't know for a week or so unless they email me that they got my request.

I had a quiet at home day. It's raining again so I kept inside except for a quick run to the road to drop my trash in the container, get my package UPS left by the gate and sweep my porch. It was a day of food prep, college assignment finished, forensic documentaries, and laundry. Nothing exciting but not bad.
