Imagine waking up in the morning, opening your windows and being greater by a beautiful garden. I could live with that.
I have been watching British shows so much I am dreaming of English countryside. If I had my druthers I would choose to live in an English cottage with a beautiful lush flower garden surrounding it.
The beauty of the range of colors and the variety of flowers would be stunning to see. But, I would have to be rich. I could never take care of a garden like that. I would definitely have to hire a person or two to keep it beautiful.
I would love to have a yard full of flowers to gaze at and appreciate. What about you? Do you like a garden of brightly colored flowers or you more of the lush green garden?

I cannot imagine what "Inverness, Florida" is like! 'Inverness' (the original;) is a Scottish town at the head of Loch Ness and has some truly wild beauty. I don't associate it much with the kind of garden you describe or, indeed with the tropical climate of Florida! I wonder what Scottish emigré settled there and decided to name your town after his home town!
Of course, the 'English' garden (or yard, as most Americans would call it) is a thing of love and a great deal of hard work. and the rewards (and the compliments from neighbours) are commensurate with both of those. I'm sure that our friend @jaboUK would agree with that!
Here is the original Inverness for you to salivate over!

The nicest garden I've seen is janets @jaboUK. Every time I see a picture of her garden I want to sit there and enjoy a cup of tea with her.
I love your picture and I agree that it would take professional gardeners to maintain a garden like that.
I would love a lush garden filled with beautiful flowers.

I hope to have my don't yard look more like a garden one day but it's probably mostly a pipe dream. We shall see how limber I might be after retiring whenever that might be.

@HazySue it's work but it's also a way to exercise. I plant mostly perennials which means a bit less bending.

I love an English cottage style garden. I tried it in my home in the Philippines. The people said it looks haunted and looks like a forest before my house.. The passers by said to my relatives That we should clear the garden as the snakes might visit us.

Both would be nice; but flowers would invite butterflies and hummingbirds.

What a beautiful photo! Charming.
I have a small, simple flower garden right off my front porch. I always plant several varieties of flowers in many bright colors.
