Is user manual still useful?

When I have a new gadget or a device. I rather use it right away without reading the manual it is because before I buy it I studied the gadget first on how to use it and how it works so once I get it I rather use it immediately to test it out than reading the manual. Sometimes those people who are selling it tells you those things that are in the manual so for me, it's no longer useful

@allen0187 Yup, indeed. However, some people aren't reading it because they're thinking if they made a mistake there's a warranty

Right. I remember one of my old console before it has a big manual and I was wondering if the people actually read that big manual or not.

@tech40 This is what I always do, if there is something I cannot figure out I check the manual, but only after I tried.

I didn't read the manual book because it was too small, that's why I learned how to use gadget myself.

Indeed. It's kinda hard to use it especially if you don't have an idea about it. It's better read manual or search other sources or tips that will help you or teach you on how to use it.

I'm still reading it, because there is some information that I don't know and I want to know in detail

I find these user manuals are difficult because they have such small print and I find them hard to read. Plus they are written in several different languages which is confusing.

I still like to read the manual. There are still information there that may have been skipped during the demo done by a sales representative.

You're right. They might teach you how to turn it on or turn it off but not the other things.
