Our Prom Night

In about 2 months, my school will be having a privacy prom night at a hotel that follows wellness protocols, to be honest I am hesitating about choosing between fun and health.
Besides, this will be my first and last experience with my friends I also feel nervous about prom night stuff.
mylot friends! have you ever attended a prom night? how was the atmosphere? was it fun? what was your dresscode? do you agree with the party in the midst of this pandemic?
Give me your advice

First of all, I refuse to let a virus keep me from living. If your school wants to throw a prom I say enjoy it. You don't want to miss out on something that might be great, because you're afraid you could get sick. COVID isn't the only thing a person could carry and not be aware of. It won't be the last.
I did go to prom my jounor year and I loved it. Wasn't able to attend my senior year for some reason, and it was one of my biggest regrets. So, please... do what you feel is best for you. Make sure you're happy with your choice.

i attended my prom night in a long dress and nice heels i had a lot of fun with my friends that night.
but in this covid-19 situation, i would chose to stay home. if not for my own health, then for my family.

actually, i did look pretty good that night.
i had professional do my makeup and the dress was sewed by my body and it was satin

I've never been to a prom night. They had a school disco but I didn't want to go. I'm not sure what the situation is in your country with COVID. Here in the UK we should be coming out of lockdown properly around June because of the amount of people who will have had the vaccine. In your country it might be different. If you don't feel safe going, don't go. But if you think it will be OK, then go. Will you be wearing masks and social distancing?

Probably we will check body temperature, wash our hands, use masks and keep a safe distance because the ballroom is quite large. I'm still considering whether to participate or not. Btw, thanks for your advice!

If you'll just strictly follow the minimum protocol then it will be safe for you to attend your prom night. The experience will be treasured and will share with your kids when they too will attend their proms.

If the school administrator will be strict in monitoring the safety of the students then go but you yourself need not be reminded of the do's and don'ts, you should be aware of it for your own good and your family as well. Be very careful to follow whatever health rules given. Enjoy.
