The rain is back! And Happy Pi Day!

I can't believe I almost missed Pi Day! Pi Day, of course, celebrates 3/14, or 3.14, if you prefer, the approximate value of pi. Pi, as we all remember from High School days, is the value you multiply the width of a circle by to obtain its circumference.
I was a "stoner" in high school days, and only have pi memorized to a few digits: 3.141592654, but I am sure that those who were better students in their younger days will have it memorized to 20 digits and more.
Many celebrate pi day by eating apple pi, or whatever their favorite might be. I, as a boor and heathen, mostly ate leftover corned beef and cabbage today.
It's raining outside, so I will listen to the gentle sound and perhaps play some guitar along with it. How are you celebrating Pi Day?

I learned 3.1416. But I never thought that I was a bad student. I memorized poems and still know them.

@TheHorse I don´t know that one. I learnt poems in Spanish. I learnt a few poems in English later on in life like The Raven and Hamlet´s soliloquy.

@marguicha Can you present a few lines? There are some poems that stick in my head. And one that I set to music while pooping in Iowa. It was a cold Winter night. But my heater was working. The poem was called Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening. It was by Robert Frost.

Happy PI day! Just usual things. Rain stopped, so went to do laundry at laundry at laundry room. Made stew for dinner.

@oahuwriter Sounds good. Hmm. Maybe I'll eat some chicken noodle soup before I crash.

@BarBaraPrz As an act of atonement, maybe I'll learn Pi out to a few more digits.

I love corned beef and cabbage. Especially this close to St. Patrick's Day.

@xander6464 They really are. I treated it as delicious soup and had Irish....I mean French...bread on the side.

We do not celebrate Pi Day because we write the dates in a different way and yesterday it was 14.3.2021...
I always hated math, I still remember all poems I studied in school, but I can only remember that Pi Greek is 3.14159, my husband surely knows a lot more digits.

At work, we usually have a pie baking contest to celebrate Pi Day. However, with the day falling on a weekend, there was no pie baking contest this year. Which is perfectly okay with me, since I've been out sick with Covid anyway.

@TheHorse I do feel like I'm a little better today than I was yesterday. Nothing hugely noticeable, but I sense that I'm a tad bit better today than yesterday.
