After so many days of high number of new cases , and 2 closed weekend, they decided to close everything (expect food stores, farmacy...) till next monday. Atleast there is no curefew and we are alowed to move. But still I dont see how this is gonna help much. Lets hope for the best. How is the situation at your place?

We're in partial lockdown here. I heard of a new cluster emerging in my state. That's why the cases jump yesterday. We always around 1 digit cases in this state before.

After a year of doing this all over the world, our governments have not yet realized that these things do not work to slow the virus. If we're going to stop this virus, or at least slow it down, we're going to have to get everyone around the world vaccinated.

@frenki It's the exact same way here. What you described is exactly what we're going through as well. And they wonder why the people protest....

Exacty my thoughts. When pandemic started noone knew much, they closed everything here. we had curefew... And in between then and now we had open stadiums, concers, elections... And now they close things again. for 3 days, then more, then new measurements each day... Just as if they didnt learn anything and we are at start again, and its been a year. Huge supermarkets can work, while little local stores (where you have 3-4 people at one time max) cant. That caused protests and now they say they work again... Just running in circle

Our numbers in the US are slowly beginning to drop. Places are starting to reopen, a little bit at a time. The inoculation is being given, to stomp out this COVID virus.

Hopefully this shutdown will not last long. But, at least you will be able to go to the pharmacy or grocery store in the meantime.

In the US, at least in Tennessee, we're doing well. I know Maryland and Tennessee both are opening up more and more every day.
