My Mama turns 78 today... / myLot

...and I can't be with her to celebrate because restrictions have been imposed again due to rising cases in our country. This is the second time that we're not able to celebrate her birthday. Last year, the country went on a lockdown one week before her birthday. I'm glad that Mama understands the situation and doesn't seem upset that we can't be together at this time. Vaccines for elderly are still not available here. I'm also thankful that I got to see her back in February 2020 - one month before the lockdown. I just hope that she'll remain strong and healthy until all this is over. Does your mother live far from you? When's the last time you saw her?

Try to have a video call with her. My mother has departed seven years ago but she's visiting sometimes in my dreams.

She's having a hard time learning to video calls using her iPhone so we usually just talk over the phone, like landline. My father who has passed on also visits me in my dreams but no longer as often as he used to. I hope your mom is at peace.
