What Kind Of Mother Am I??

It was my daughter's 50th birthday yesterday so I wrote a poem for her and put it on Facebook, along with a photo of her as a baby.
She wrote back "Have you got the wrong baby?" I said of course I hadn't and then my sister joined in and said that she thought the photo was that of my son, but that I must know best.
Doubts started to creep in. I knew that I had a photo of my daughter at about 6 months old lying on her stomach smiling at the camera and I thought I'd found it. Unfortunately I'd forgotten that I had a photo of my son in the same pose and that was the one I used.
What kind of mother am I not to know her own children??
In my defence I have to say that babies often bear little or no resemblance to the people they become.
Anyway I rectified the mistake and we had a good laugh about it.
The photo above is definitely of my daughter.

lol Trust me I have to look really carefully at the pictures of my two sons when they were babies. My daughter had a wonderful head of hair, she is easy to identify lol

My two were actually very similar babies despite being different genders, though my son has blue eyes (like me) and my daughter has brown (like her dad). It was actually that which convinced me as the one I've posted here obviously has dark eyes. And also she's in a dress

@jabouk I used to refuse to collect my first born from a nursery he went to once in a while as a baby in case I couldn’t pick out which baby was mine. We should really write the date and subject on the back of photos. And what a nice baby you produced!!

Good that she is 50 and could find the funny sideHad it been a 5 year old, you would have faced a hell lot of tantrums and melodrama.
She looks adorable there
Wishing her loads of luck, health and happiness on her birthday.

and beautiful baby I must say. I have a photo of what I think is me at same pose in fact but my aunt once said it is my mom. When I got it though it had my name on the back So who knows now? Babies all look so much alike in families whos to say?

An honest mistake can be a source of good humor. Laugh about it all the more. Doesn't make you less of a good mother that you are.
My sister claims she is the baby in a picture I captioned 'my baby pic.' I thought my mother told me it was me.

@jaboUK That is true. And no matter my sister claims she is the baby in the picture, the photo remains in my album.

That's pretty funny that they would recognize the difference and not you. I knew you had a son and daughter but didn't know you had two girls.

@jaboUK ok I remember that was what I read now. That would be a good reason to pose our children differently so when we're older we know which one it is
