Which Side Of The Bed?

If you are one of a couple do you always sleep on the same side of the bed?
I was talking to a friend yesterday and she said that she and her husband don't - whoever gets to bed first decides which side they want.
That seems odd to me as during 53 years of marriage I always slept on the left, my husband on the right.
How about you? Are you a creature of habit or don't you care which side you have?

We are creatures of habit. He is on right and left is my side. In fact even when he is traveling and I have all bed to myself, I stay on left side.

@jaboUK There is a famous joke here. Why do men sleep on right side? Because they have to be right even in their sleepOr rather they can only be right in sleep.

If we are in bed solo my husband and I will sleep in the middle of the bed since the other isn’t there. When we are both sleeping I take the right side and he takes the left. I’m the close to the door because when the kids come in I can hear them. My husband is a rock wouldn’t hear a thing unless you smack him.

@jaboUK it’s true to! The kids even as babies they’d cry loud nothing. He tells a story of how he got pushed out of his bed as a kid because he didn’t hear his mom yelling at him there he need to get into the basement because of a tornado.
I’ve hit him a few times in his sleep and I do I don’t hit light.

@tampa_girl7 Couple in photo look like they’ve just woken up and are wondering who each other is and what all happened the night before and they can’t remember a thing.

@kobesbuddy That does seem odd - I don't think I kept to the same side when walking with my husband.

@jaboUK Whenever we walk together, Jay is on my left side for some reason. Isn't that funny? I've never thought about this before!

I tend to sleep on the right side but my wife is one of life's worst nightmares. She starts off sleeping on the left then right then bottom then top then left always pulling the quilt and has arms like a bloody windmill and legs like a helicopter rotor! I love it when she is away or l am then l get the whole bed to myself!!!!

Facing the bed, I sleep on the left...always
..every bed....I can't sleep on the "wrong" side of the bed.

@jaboUK I certainly do the left side has always been it but now I also wake up a bit and turn to the right for a little while just to change position You know it's funny I have a habit of changing the sheets every two weeks I mean it is only me using the bed but then I think no one has even slept not he right side and yet I put on new sheets

I don't necessarily care but it's easier for my husband to have the left side looking at the bed. Just like the picture.

@jaboUK my husband would have a hard time if we had to switch because he's missing part of his leg and it's used to stabilizing himself in a certain way when he gets out of the bed.
