Cars are seen submerged on Interstate-24 in Nashville, Tenn in the above photo.
The Nashville area faced flash flood conditions after rainfall in the last 24 hours reached 5 to 8 inches in places, according to the National Weather Service.
Many yards are flooded in my area. But the sun is shining again finally. Thankful to be safe today. Up most of the night with storm warnings. A hail storm came through a couple of times.
Severe thunderstorms, flash flood watches, tornado watches. But we are safe.
Unfortunately reports are saying four were killed overnight due to the flooding. Trapped in their cars mostly. Over 130 water rescues in Nashville.
This morning the sun is shining. Ready for a new day. Many things to be thankful for in life.

I am glad you and yours are safe. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families who loved ones were killed in the flood.

@CarolDM One year, this happened in Bay City, Michigan. One driver accidentally drove off the highway, into the Saginaw River

It's tragic that some didn't survive, but I'm happy to hear the sun is shining and now people can work on clean up and the aftermath of the floods.

@CarolDM I understand. I wish things didn't work out that way.

Oh that is awful! Just think this season is just getting started too. I am sure we will see lots of storms before it all wraps up. I am glad just your yard flooded. We didn't get as much rain here..

I know how you feel since my relatives and myself know how it feels to be in a flood zone due to hurricanes in 2020.
