During the pandemis I have seen a lot of products of the kind "as seen on TV". I have bought a couple of them and most have been a disaster. I am glad that I did not buy the most expensive ones. But now I´m craving for an airfryer although I don´t fully understand what it is. Do you have one and can you tell me if it really works? The people on TV say they can´t live without them

I have one, I like it. It works for some dish. I do not like my fries there but my hotdog, porkchops and chicken are all good there

@Janet357 I discovered that many of my dishes can be done with less oil.

I will buy this one too. I think you just need a small amount of oil like a tablespoon for frying.

They basically work like a convection oven. They are great for some things and not so great for others. When you do breaded things in them, the breading does not brown. French fries do fine, chicken nuggets (frozen kind from store) do good and other similar products. I tried sweet potato fries in mine that were from fresh sweet potato and they were just so-so. Baked potatoes take forever. Easier and faster in the microwave. Also, be sure to swab what you cook with olive oil to keep it from drying out. Depends on what you intend to use it for basically! And weight if it would be useful and justify the expense. I have the Gotham Steel brand and my main negative issue is that the black lettering wore off of the timer in just a couple of months time.

I´m in the process of weighing the pros and cons. But the commercials say only the good things.

@marguicha Yep, of course! I got it while I was taking care of mom thinking it would be a great saving on time and dishes to clean but it really didn't meet those needs. For just yourself, it may be just what you need. I did write a review of mine on here after I had it and used it for a couple of weeks. It was around a year ago if you want to look for it.

A lot of people love them. I didn't like mine. It is a glorified toaster oven. I left it behing when I moved.

I do have one, and I enjoy it very much. I had to shop around to find one that was large enough to be practical for my family's size, but it has been very useful. The kids enjoy it for reheating leftovers for lunch more than they do the microwave. I've "fried" chicken in it, roasted vegetables in it, made "grilled" cheese sandwiches, made many batches of French fries, and cooked meatballs in it. Like someone mentioned, it is a bit like a glorified toaster oven, but it has a high powered convection fan that helps to cook things quickly and crisply. I do spray my items with a bit of oil or toss them with a little oil before cooking, but it's still a LOT less oil than pan frying or deep frying. Mine is a Cosori brand.

Air fryers use less oil than deep fryers and can produce foods that have a significantly lower fat content. For a more detailed info, tap the link below :

I don't have it because I don't think it is useful for me. I already have a very good oven at home and it work better thann airfryer. My friend has an airfryer but she doesn't think it work very well. She wants to give it to someone else but I am not interested in it anyway

From what I have read it does not require any kind of oil or fats to fry the food. I personally would not want one but a friend of mine likes hers.

I’ve heard of it too, but I’ve never tried it, they say it can store food in a healthier way.
