I personally used pills for my never a missed a day but also m or that I’d you take certain medications with it it does cancel it out. It’s always best to talk to Gynecologist. For some women shots are more affects and they do them every few months. Some do the implants. I had IUD didnt week for me because it slipped out of place and made me bleed all of the time. My OB/Gyno tried to get it go in to place but couldn’t without scaring my uterus and she thought I’d still want more kids alter which was true.

@inspirealba hormonal nut a lot of people like copper ones. My husband had a vasectomy so now I don’t worry about birth control

Was your IUD hormonal or the copper one? That doesn't sound pleasant, sorry you had to go through that.

I have thought about it, but I'm scared of the side effects. Also, what has been your experience?

The best thing for you to do would be to go and talk to a doctor and explain your personal situation.
