Nice while it lasted

Yes, covid restrictions were being eased in my area. This week we were able to come into the Centre and have a hot, sit-down lunch and sort of socialize at half-capacity, six feet apart. And Tuesday was a beautiful warm sunny day. And then the weather turned... It tried to snow on Thursday. But, wait! That's not all! Our premiere decided to invoke a province-wide lockdown starting tomorrow (Saturday). Happy Easter?

Your last sentence confused me. "Invoking lockdown starting tomorrow"? To me it sounded like he wants lockdown in the area. Then removing covid restrictions does not make sense, right? My bad English.

There were some restrictions already in place, but starting Saturday (today) just about everything is closed. He gave us a couple days to stock up on toilet paper

@vandana7 There was such a run on it at the start of the whole thing last year, I wonder if the hoarders have used it all up yet.

@BarBaraPrz I hope it will not happen. It will greatly affect the people's livelihood around the globe.

Are your cases ramping up again? This is awful as far as just getting to see other people on a regular basis.

And nonsense it is... restaurants can't do the patio thing (where there's lots of fresh air) for the month but big box stores can still open? Someone's not thinking straight.

We are in "partial" lockdown, but this is not preventing the tourists to come here.

We've been in lockdown since Christmas and are coming out of it in stages. All restrictoions won't be completely gone until June.

We've been in and out a few times but I think the only time the whole province was in lockdown was at the very beginning.

I know. Best to just stay home and hope you don't run out of toilet paper.
