I know it's still a pain, but imagine it whiteout the Internet, without being able to communicate with your families, watching movies, playing games.. Me personally, I haven't seen my parents in almost a year. And my brother 2 years now, due to us living in different countries, but we often videocall and that makes it more bearable. I'm pretty sure other are complaining about other things as well, maybe far more important than this, is just, lately I'm trying to focus more on the positive, and take it as it comes... How did it helped you?

We are lucky to have had the internet while being at home in this pandemic! My kids were fortunate to be able to continue their education virtually . . . not that I like it, but at least they were able to learn with a class (and get information about anything at their fingertips online). I was able to try out a lot of new recipes thanks to recipe sites. Endless entertainment - videos, reading info, news, games and social media. I don't shop online, but if I wanted to, I could. And I could look up prices and products before heading to the store. And we could pass the time by being on myLot with friends around the world .

You actually pointed out a good one, education! How hard must have been for the kids, and for the parents :) I've tried a lot of different cooking recipes myself.. Which helped also on adding some weight I must confess :))

@MadFit I guess it's not that the content of virtual learning was hard . . . just the rhythm of working that way without personal interaction was strange and not motivating - and still. But, better than nothing. Right - more delicious recipes had us eating more .

@MadFit As a parent monitoring the kids to do their online classes has been a challenge. At times instead of them concentrating in class they divert to other things. So you have to be constantly checking on them.

Being alone at home throughout the pandemic the internet has helped me keep in touch with the world. My television only depends on the internet so without it I would have been totally lost.

Yes, we are very lucky to be able to communicate with everyone. It's quite normal for my family as we can't see each other regularly under normal circumstances. It frustrates me that my grandchildren's other grandparents complained about how awful it had been to only video call them recently. I was very tempted to tell them to try feeling like that all the time! I am glad we have technology like video calls, though. Telephone calls are nice but not quite the same as actually seeing a person's face. We'd miss out so much more without technology.

My husband is in a nursing home, and there was out breaks, and we were unable to visit him. He has a cell phone and that helps out a lot. Being able to go on the internet really came in handy for communication.

there are many advantages with the internet, schools can be via the internet, meetings can be long distance, but even if there is no internet it is not a problem
