Some people really deserve a penalty ticket

This week the government decided that restaurants, pastry and coffee shops can open their terraces and street tables and have clients there. The rules are clear, one can only take off the mask to drink or eat, if you want to talk with the person that are with you the mask should be on. But people just don't care and spend hours sitted talking without the mask.
Yesterday the police gave a penalty ticket to a lot of people that were in restaurants and coffees terraces as they weren't following the rules. And the ticket was a heavy one, 200€.
Some people only learn if it mess with their pockets. How could they be so irresponsible?! some really deserved the ticket.
I have no plans to go to restaurants or any pastry or coffee shops so soon. I still find it dangerous as the virus is still very active.
Is this happening in your country too?

You can't force someone to wear a mask. If they chose to, that's their decision. Doesn't matter what country you're from. People have a right to decide what happens to their bodies. Masks don't do what your govornment is trying to tell you it does. Because virusus don't pick and chose what particals they hitch a ride on. And, you know what? the most dangerous particals go right through masks.
The whole point to going to a restaurant, is to have conversation while eating. In fact, if you're pulling up a mask between bites of food, all you're doing is dirtying up a mask and opening yourself to a whole load of health risks.

The restaurants and coffee shops observe social distancing here. One square foot of table, one person. For larger tables then two people is allowed but there’s a a barricade in between, a clear sheet. So if they wish to talk, they could but no danger of exchanging of fluids when having a conversation due the clear sheet separating them.

@nela13 Masks are mandatory here too. You can’t enter a restaurant or go to any public place without a mask.

@toniganzon exactly the same here but we don't have the clear sheet in the tables which is sad.

Yes, it is, it isn't time to relax in the measures against Covid.

It's happening that many won't wear are masks or they remove them while they're shopping. I've not gone to restaurants yet so I don't know about that.
Also I think a large group that's gotten their two shots seem to think they are now invincible. There aren't enough police here too monitor all those not wearing masks.

@nela13 Even with the shots no one is 100% immune from still getting covid-19. They are just possibly immune from dying from it. Plus it's possible that they can be carriers if they're around someone that has it before they know it.

It's very common here that people love to go out and hang on for unnecessary thing and yes its good to give a penalty to them who not follow rules but here little different way as its the best business to make money to give a penalty for those who even follow rules.

I think we should all be aware of the fact that we are not yet out of the trap of the Covid-19 pandemic

Most of the time people need to be penalized before they would learn a lesson.
We don't have dine in here. All dine outs/take outs.

Yes, some people only learn when it messes with their pockets. Their brain is too stupid to understand things other way.

Interesting that the police actually gave tickets. I think that outside diners are somewhat "cavalier" here in California when they dine at restaurants outside. I am "lax" at lunch when I dine with kids at the schools where I work. But I am still only "ordering out" when it comes to restaurants.

My husband is a teacher and he also has lunch at school with the kids.
We haven't ordered out food since the beginning of the pandemic.

Our government is too strict in implementing the observance of health protocols but no penalty imposed just reminding the violators to put on their mask and faceshield.

That is so annoying, I herd people saying that they are wearing mask to avoid penalty.

Some people wear the mask just to avoid the penalty not the virus. How stupid!
