"Glen's Grief" to "Hulk's Title" - Let Me Explain that Weird Train of Thought

they don't exactly call him 'the incredible hulk' in the MCU's memory (of the movie) https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Hulk

I watched most of Glen Tickle's "Good Grief: A Comedy About Loss and Being Bad at It" (a special about how he dealt with the passing of his brother). https://laughingsquid.com/glen-tickle-good-grief/ Glen Tickle--who does a lot of comedy about 'the zany life of a former kindergarten science-teacher who has two kids (who team up on him like velociraptors)'--had been doing "Good Grief" for years, and taped the special so that he doesn't have to do the 'brother's memorial'-comedy anymore (at least not to "crowds of drunk strangers" that he's NOT related-to). But he quoted one of my favorite lines from MARVEL'S The Avengers: He said people ask him 'how he can do comedy when he should be so depressed about his "loss"' ... (he also mentioned how "loss" is the wrong word, but ... back to 'you should be too depressed!') ... and he recalls how--at the end of MARVEL's The Avengers--they tell Bruce Banner they 'need him to get angry' (to Hulk up and demolish the invaders), and he replies, "That's my secret, I'm ALWAYS angry!" Well, that's the secret of Tickle's depression; he's ALWAYS depressed, and Mark's passing was just 'another example of things he's ALWAYS depressed about.' So I was thinking I'd 'name' Glen Tickle "the 'Bruce Banner' to 'The 'Indefatigable' Hulk' (a name he might use as-the title of a show or -the name of a new 'character'). Coming up with that word, I thought 'I don't remember if any characters in the MARVEL movies ever called The Hulk "The Incredible Hulk," did they?

@mythociate I've read that many comedians are depressed & they use humor to cope. I remember that line from MARVEL's The Avengers. I think many of us are a certain way, more often than not & we find a way to make it manageable.

And--just like with comedians--the main way is 'our job' followed/preceded-by our family (especially if we're spouses or parents) ... our minds are too busy 'doing what needs to be done' to spend any time dwelling on the tragedies.
