Today is not that special when I went out this morning. I bought some groceries and met a 10-year-old boy selling chayotes on the road. He was almost begging to buy some so that he can buy some rice for his family tonight. It was a heartbreaking moment and I decided to give him Php 100.00 ($2.06). I told him to sell it to other people and buy some rice later. Now, what I am saying is that I did a good deed for today.
Did you ever do good things today?
How would you feel if you were in my shoes?

That's a good deed you made today. That one hundred pesos can buy the boy's family a decent meal.

@Shavkat That means you have compassion for the marginalized in society.
And by sharing that young boy something you could have used for your self, that shows you have done a corporal work of mercy. Way to go!

@eileenleyva It is one of my advocacies to help the marginalized ones. If it is not because of this pandemic, I had applied to an international NGO. I will do it after this chaotic situation that we are experiencing now.

@m_audrey6788 If I have all the means, I might create livelihood programs for them. I think my government needs to address this issue now.

What you did was a good thing. The kid was not pandandling, but rather trying to do something to get something. I applaud it and may have done the same.
When my wife and I were visiting Mexico once we bought something from a street vendor who we could tell was clearly in need of the money. It felt good even if we had no use for what we bought.

Yes, he is not a panhandler boy. I am amazed that he is doing this as compared to others, especially the adults. I am sure that they are having some meals and rice for tonight. I do agree that it can make us feel good when helping others. It is a way of being humane.

It is a good feeling to help others without any returns. I can still remember my volunteering stunts and they are still using what I taught to them, which is to provide proper care for those people who are inflicted with impairments and disabilities.

I cannot resist myself not to. I just remembered myself in him. I did selling things before but I am luckier because I am not obliged to do it. My biological parents were responsible enough to give their children's basic needs. It is just me who want to try it.
I am sure if the boy is in your area, you will help him.
