Wastes can be of importance to human life but at the same time be harmful if handled carelessly.Picture this;industrial wastes emptied into rivers oceans and seas end up killing aquatic life and on the other hand we expose sewages and defeacation resulting to diseases such as cholera, typhoid and amoebic dysentery, name it. Lets manage our waste properly

I saw a programme the other day on the telly where they were investigating sewerage companies that were apparently tipping untreated sewerage into rivers when they shouldn't have been. Apparently you are allowed to tip untreated sewerage into the river IF you have reached the required amount of treated sewerage! But these companies were tipping untreated sewerage into the river without reaching the required amount of treated sewerage! I would have thought tipping untreated sewerage into the river shouldn't be allowed at all! What is this???!!

@Nungari1 Yes, but how are you going to police it? That's the problem. Because this has been going on for a while and no-ones done anything about it. I hope somebody does something now that's it's been highlighted on television. It's the same with fly tippers.

Funny, we never have (despite efforts to change this) and we're still here.
